K-Catalyst is a recommended catalyst to extend the shelf life of our Tecnofoam polyurethane spray systems (water-based) once the shelf live of the polyol side  is expired (after 3 months from its production date)



Uses

For application in the following situations:

  • reactivation of component B (polyol) once its shelf life is expired, for the Tecnofoam G-2025/G-2035/G-2040/G-2040FR/G-2050 polyurethane systems

GENERAL FEATURES

  • K-Catalyst restores the reactivity of Tecnofoam water-based spray polyurethane systems (reaction times, gel, cream) once their expiration date has passed
  • The mixing ratio is 1kg/polyol drum. Sometimes, and depending on its storage conditions, up to 2 kg must be added.
  • Adding only to component B (polyol, B-side)
  • Can be added up to 3-4 months after the end of the expiration
  • Once added use within 4 days
  • Do not add in open polyol drums, or that may have been exposed to moisture (either environmental or liquid)

SHELF LIFE

Tecnofoam G-Catalyst has been packed with the most advanced techniques in the sector, assuring a shelf life of 12 months. Keep drums tight closed: avoid humidity and direct sunlight and at temperatures 15º and 25ºC.

APPLICATION METHOD

  • Add the product, in the supplied dosage, to the container of component B (polyol, B-side) of the Tecnofoam water-based polyurethane spray system.
  • Stir and mix well, preferably by mechanical processes to homogenize the mixture(approx. 10 min.)
  • Once added and mixed, use within 4 days

HEALTH AND SAFETY

These safety recommendations for handling, are necessary for the implementation process as well as in the pre and post, on exposure to the loading machinery.

  • Respiratory Protection: When handling or spraying use an air-purifying respirator.
  • Skin protection: Use rubber gloves, remove immediately after contamination. Wear clean body-covering. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after work and before eating, drinking or smoking.
  • Eye / Face: Wear safety goggles to prevent splashing and exposure to particles in the air.
  • Waste generation should be avoided or minimized. Incinerate under controlled conditions in accordance with local laws and national regulations.
