GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS
- Single-component, solvent-based, polyurethane resin once dry forms a continuous and highly adherent film on supports such as concrete, mortar or wood, increasing adhesion for liquid waterproofing systems.
- Its consumption depends on the situation of the support, irregularities that it presents or level of planimetry. It ranges between 100-200 g/sqm/layer. Apply thin coat, never thick.
- In repairs and membrane overlaps its consumption is between 50-100 g/sqm
- The application must be carried out in conditions of non-presence of moisture in the substrate or water from the substrate or backsplash, either at the time of application or afterward (pressure by groundwater level).
- Possibility of applying in combination with mineral fillers (silica aggregate) on very irregular supports.
PACKAGING
Metallic pail: 5 kg and 20 kg.
SHELF LIFE
12 months at temperatures between 5° C and 35° C (41 ºF to 95 ºF), provided it is stored in a dry place. Once the tin has been opened, the product must be used.
APPLICATION METHOD
The following factors prior to application should be checked:
- previous preparation of the concrete through mechanical processes(miling, sanding, shotblasting or scarifying) to achieve the proper bonding profile (CSP 3-4-5 according ICRI) and open the pore
- existing coves/holes or areas with a lack of material must be repaired using a mixture of our Primer EP-1020 and Silica Sand or Primer EP-1010 epoxy resins.
- perimetral caulking with Mastic PU
- in joints: remove old material and dirty, clean and fill with Mastic PU. Use also Tecnoband 100 if necessary
- general cleaning of the substrate, removing existing dust, dirt, grease, or efflorescence
Cement or concrete substrates
- substrate must be fully cured (the concrete curing process is 28 days). Check the maximum degree of moisture permittivity of the substrate
- apply two or more coats until the desired thickness is obtained (always wait until completely dry time before applying next coat)
- the yield may vary depending on the coats that need to be made according to the type and physical condition of the substrate. Consumption is approximately 150 g/sqm/layer; the total consumption can vary from 150 to 200 g/sqm. Apply always thin coats, never self-levelling or coat too thick. Always respect the recoat time between coats or between different materials. In case of rain, apply a thin layer, consumption approx. 100-150g/sqm.
NOTE: For other types of supports, weather conditions or the substrate to be applied, consult our technical department.
HANDLING AND SAFETY
These safety recommendations for handling, are necessary for the implementation process as well as in the pre and post, on exposure to the loading machinery.
- Respiratory Protection: When handling or spraying use an air-purifying respirator.
- Skin protection: Use rubber gloves, remove immediately after contamination. Wear clean body-covering. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after work and before eating, drinking, or smoking.
- Eye / Face: Wear safety goggles to prevent splashing and exposure to particles in the air.
- Waste: Waste generation should be avoided or minimized. Incinerate under controlled conditions in accordance with local laws and national regulations.
Consult the material and safety data sheet of the product(MSDS) or contact our technical department.
